How Can I Backup, Delete and Restore Models? |

Note: Analyze IQ Lab Version 2.0 and later features a built-in Model Manager, with which you can easily backup, restore and delete models. Refer to the User Manual for details. This information applies to older versions of Analyze IQ Lab and Predictor. Applies To: Analyze IQ Lab, Version 1.2 and earlier; Analyze IQ Predictor. Purpose:- Make backups of models as part of your data protection strategy.
- Archive models when you have finished one project, before moving on to a new one.
- Remove unused models to avoid 'clutter' in the user interface.
Backup:- On Windows 7 or Windows Vista, to back up models, Use Microsoft Windows to open this folder on your computer: C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Analyze IQ V12\Lab\plugins. (Note: this location will depend on your username and the location in which you have installed Analyze IQ Lab.)
- On earlier versions of Windows, open the 'plugins' folder wherever you installed Analyze IQ Lab; this is usually C:\Program Files\Analyze IQ V12\Lab\plugins.
- You will see folders here, corresponding to the model names.
- To back up a model from here, copy the full folder to a different location (e.g. a backup folder or a USB drive).
Delete:- Before deleting a model, back it up if you expect to use it some other time!
- To delete a model inside Analyze IQ Lab, select its tab in bottom-centre window in Analyze IQ Lab, and press the Delete button.
Restore:- To restore a model that you have previously backed up and deleted, use Microsoft Windows to copy your backed up model folder to the 'plugin' folder wherever Analyze IQ Lab is installed; this is usually C:\Program Files\Analyze IQ V12\Lab\plugins.
- Re-start Analyze IQ Lab and it will find the restored model.
- Note for Windows 7/Vista: do not copy it back to the “VirtualStore” folder that you originally backed it up from.
